Agreement
Terms of Service
1. The service
LocalShopOps is designed to support authorized-shop receipt and transaction review, listing and complete Inventory review, seller-confirmed draft and listing workflows, operational reporting, and seller-controlled Production-file downloads. Etsy-connected functions remain subject to implementation, scope, approval, and verification Gates. Any future supported batch edit will be limited to one authorized shop. Publishing, when enabled, is limited to one draft listing at a time after a fresh Etsy state read, a fee warning, and a separate second confirmation.
LocalShopOps is designed as a centrally operated web application with an initial applicant-controlled service in the United States. Authorized users will access that service through a browser. Production availability depends on separately confirmed deployment, security, authorization and policy-readiness conditions. A later migration to U.S.-hosted cloud infrastructure would be reviewed separately; neither the initial deployment nor that migration is represented as completed by these Terms.
2. Seller authorization
Each Etsy shop connection requires a separate OAuth authorization from an account authorized to manage that shop. Data is isolated by LocalShopOps organization and shop. Etsy access uses Etsy Open API v3 and the OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code flow with PKCE. Users must not provide Etsy passwords to LocalShopOps or attempt to transfer API credentials between applications or users.
Production authorization is designed to return to a dynamic HTTPS callback on the central U.S. service, exactly registered with Etsy. Protected server-side components will validate the request-bound state and PKCE context, exchange the authorization code, and retain tokens in protected encrypted storage. Shared secrets and tokens must not enter browser scripts, plaintext desktop configuration, or ordinary logs. These production controls remain subject to verification. A separately approved localhost development test does not establish a production connection, and its token must not be copied into the central service. You must review the requested Etsy permissions before authorization and must not provide an Etsy password, API credential, authorization code, access token, refresh token, or PKCE verifier to LocalShopOps support or another user.
3. Organization and shop access
A user may access only Etsy shops assigned to that user's LocalShopOps organization and account. Users must not attempt to view, obtain, copy, or modify data outside those organization and shop boundaries.
4. Seller responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- maintaining accurate account and shop information;
- protecting LocalShopOps login credentials and authorized devices;
- reviewing requested OAuth permissions and seller-confirmed write operations;
- ensuring their listings, products, content, and conduct comply with Etsy policies and applicable law;
- respecting intellectual property, privacy, and consumer-protection requirements; and
- protecting downloaded operational files and deciding whether to share them outside LocalShopOps;
- promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.
5. Prohibited use
Users may not use LocalShopOps to:
- scrape Etsy webpages or bypass Etsy's API, security measures, checkout, or rate limits;
- send spam, manipulate engagement statistics, or create deceptive activity;
- sell, disclose, or misuse Etsy member data;
- use Etsy API data for cross-seller benchmarking, marketplace analytics, competitive analysis, or AI training;
- infringe intellectual property rights or facilitate prohibited products or listings;
- gain unauthorized access to another seller, shop, or LocalShopOps account; or
- interfere with the integrity or availability of Etsy or LocalShopOps.
LocalShopOps does not provide cross-shop listing batches, batch or automatic publishing, scheduled writes, listing deletion, deactivation, renewal, or automatic renewal. Users must not attempt to bypass these product and policy controls.
6. Privacy and data
Information is processed as described in the Privacy Policy. LocalShopOps processes Etsy member information as a service provider to the authorizing Etsy seller and only for seller-requested services. An authorized LocalShopOps account user may generate and download a shop-specific Production file containing approved order-item, SKU, Variation, quantity, production fields and, when expressly authorized, the minimum personalization needed for the assigned production task. Production files exclude recipient, address, destination, delivery, and buyer-email fields. LocalShopOps does not automatically transmit the file or Etsy Member data to suppliers, carriers, fulfillment providers, other sellers, or unrelated third parties. Nothing in these Terms authorizes redistribution of Etsy API access, credentials, or Etsy Member data in violation of Etsy's API Terms.
7. Etsy API disclaimer
The term 'Etsy' is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This Application uses Etsy's API, but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy.
Etsy has no responsibility for LocalShopOps support, performance, availability, fees, or user agreements.
8. Availability and changes
We work to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Etsy may change, limit, or discontinue API functionality. We may update or suspend LocalShopOps functions to maintain security, compliance, or service quality.
9. Fees
No application-access fee is part of the current Commercial Access submission. This is not a promise that LocalShopOps will always remain free. Any future paid-access model will be disclosed before it applies and reviewed for compliance with Etsy's then-current API Terms before launch. Etsy is not responsible for LocalShopOps fees, invoicing, taxes, refunds, or payment disputes.
10. Suspension and termination
A seller may stop using LocalShopOps and revoke Etsy authorization at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for security risks, misuse, violations of these Terms, violations of Etsy policies, or legal requirements. A confirmed disconnect is intended to block new Etsy calls for that connection and begin credential cleanup. Account closure disables LocalShopOps access and starts the deletion process described on the Support page.
11. Limitation of responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, LocalShopOps is provided without implied warranties. Users remain responsible for reviewing listings, orders, exports, and external actions before relying on them. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, security, or Etsy API changes. Material changes will be communicated through the application, website, or seller contact information as appropriate. Material changes to permissions, Etsy-data purposes, sharing, retention, fees, or responsibility allocation require the user to separately affirmatively accept the current Terms and Privacy Policy before continuing Etsy-connected functions.
