Seller operations, with each shop in control

Seller-authorized operational tools for Etsy shops.

LocalShopOps is designed to help Etsy sellers review authorized-shop receipts and transactions, prepare listings, and generate seller-controlled Production files—without sharing Etsy passwords.

LocalShopOps is designed as a centrally operated web application with an initial U.S.-based service. Authorized users will access the central service through a browser. Production deployment and the public service address remain subject to confirmation and verification.

Availability: onboarding is invitation-only and broader enrollment remains closed. The proposed Commercial release remains subject to Etsy approval, production readiness, policy acceptance, review of any policy changes, and the applicable OAuth and API verification gates.

Current purpose

One workspace for seller-authorized operations

Proposed Etsy-connected functions will be enabled only within the authorized shop and granted permissions, after the applicable verification gates.

01

Order and sales review

The proposed Commercial release will synchronize and organize authorized order and sales records for operational review and reporting.

02

Listing workflows

The proposed Commercial release will read listings, create drafts, and perform seller-confirmed listing or complete-inventory updates after fresh-state checks.

03

Seller-controlled Production files

Generate shop-specific Production files for an authorized LocalShopOps user to download. LocalShopOps does not send the files or Etsy Member data to external providers.

04

Operational reporting

Generate shop-specific CSV and Excel reports while preserving seller and shop boundaries.

05

Permissions and confirmation

Use role-based access and require an authorized seller action before Etsy write operations.

06

Auditability

Maintain organization- and shop-scoped job status and audit records to support review and troubleshooting.

Write-operation boundaries

Human-confirmed changes with conservative limits

These remain proposed release controls. Local synthetic interface testing and a separate, controlled OAuth handshake do not establish real Etsy resource reads, writes, or production readiness. The proposed functions remain subject to our controlled verification gates before submission.

01

Preview before change

A seller-authorized user sees a field-level preview and must confirm before a listing or inventory change is submitted.

02

One authorized shop at a time

Any supported listing change must remain within one authorized shop connection. Cross-shop editing, copying, and migration are outside the release scope.

03

One draft at a time

Proposed activation is limited to one draft listing at a time that already satisfies Etsy prerequisites, subject to controlled verification, a fresh Etsy state read, a fee warning, and a separate second confirmation.

Not supported: batch or automatic publishing, scheduled writes, listing deletion, deactivation, renewal, or automatic renewal.

OAuth authorization

A separate authorization for each shop connection

Each Etsy shop connection requires a separate OAuth authorization from an account authorized to manage that shop. Data is isolated by LocalShopOps organization and shop.

The proposed connection uses Etsy Open API v3 and the OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code flow with PKCE. LocalShopOps does not ask users to provide Etsy passwords.

1

Seller starts the connection

For the proposed Commercial release, an authorized LocalShopOps user must first affirmatively accept the applicable Terms and Privacy Policy before requesting an Etsy shop connection.

2

Etsy collects consent

An account authorized to manage the shop signs in directly with Etsy, reviews the requested permissions, and confirms the authorization in a browser.

3

Access remains shop-scoped

The proposed central service will validate the authorization response and bind it to the LocalShopOps organization and authorized shop. A production connection is not yet represented as available.

Proposed minimum permissions

Only the access needed for the proposed functions

Permissions will be requested only for an enabled function and only after the applicable approval and verification gate. Any later increase requires a documented endpoint need and a new Etsy authorization.

The proposed first release includes authorized-shop receipt and transaction review, subject to separate permission, policy, and read-verification gates. Proposed listing write and image-upload functions remain subject to separate write gates. No fixed production scope set is published here.

Outside the current product boundary: access to buyer_email, listing deletion, automatic or batch publishing, and cross-shop listing changes.

Data boundaries

Organization and shop isolation is a core product rule

Each Etsy shop connection requires a separate OAuth authorization from an account authorized to manage that shop. Data is isolated by LocalShopOps organization and shop.

  • Production OAuth credentials and connection records are designed to be separated by LocalShopOps organization and shop.
  • Orders, listings, jobs, permissions, exports, and audit records remain shop-scoped.
  • No cross-seller search, copying, or multi-shop listing modification is provided.
  • Listing deletion, deactivation, renewal, and automatic renewal are not provided.
  • No cross-seller benchmarking, marketplace analytics, or competitive analysis is created from Etsy API data.
  • Etsy data is not sold, exchanged, used for advertising, or used to train AI models.
  • No Etsy page scraping and no collection of Etsy member passwords.
  • Sellers can revoke Etsy authorization and request deletion of associated LocalShopOps data.

Seller-directed exports

Operational files remain under seller control

An authorized LocalShopOps account user may generate and download a shop-specific Production file. LocalShopOps does not transmit Etsy Member data or downloaded files to suppliers, carriers, fulfillment providers, other sellers, or unrelated third parties.

  • The authorized user selects the file and controls the download.
  • Production files contain approved order-item, SKU, Variation, quantity, production fields and, only when expressly approved, the minimum personalization needed for the assigned production task.
  • Production files exclude recipient, address, destination, delivery, and buyer-email fields.
  • Nothing on this site grants a right to redistribute Etsy API access, credentials, or Etsy Member data in violation of Etsy's API Terms.

Commercial Access readiness

Broader access remains closed pending approval and verification

LocalShopOps is being prepared for Etsy's manual Commercial Access review and will not open broader seller access before approval.

01

Controlled onboarding

The initial Commercial release uses invitation-only, controlled onboarding. Each workspace operation remains within its selected authorized shop.

02

Reviewer access

If prepared and requested, Etsy reviewers may receive a controlled demo, test instructions, and an interface walkthrough through the support address.

03

Functions remain gated

One controlled development OAuth handshake has completed, with the token immediately cleared and no resource or write calls. Production connections, resource reads, writes, image upload, revocation, and cleanup remain subject to separate approvals and verification.
